Join us on Saturday May 10th at 9am for our first "First Year Camper Open House". Beginning in our historic Dining Hall, this event will allow Scouts and Parents an opportunity to see what a normal campsite has, visit several of the program areas, their Troops campsite to help them get oriented to the other areas of camp.
This is an excellent opportunity to "hit the ground running" to make the most of their first Summer Camp!
The Manatoc Scout Reservation is located in Peninsula, Ohio and consists of Camp Manatoc and Camp Butler. Camp Manatoc hosts GTC's Summer Camp program, and has 30 buildings available for year-around camping use. Camp Butler host's many programs year around including youth and adult Training Courses, Family Camping, Cub Scout Day Camp, and the Haunted Hay Ride.
Bringing Firewood to the Manatoc Scout Reservation
The firewood supply throughout the Reservation is abundant and plentiful. Scouts are encouraged to use the downed lumber for their firewood supply. Units visiting Camp Manatoc or Camp Butler however may bring their own firewood provided it originated in SUMMIT COUNTY.
We are aggressively participating in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to limit the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. This program is designed to limit the spread of the insect.
