Requirements for Employment:
The minimum age requirement for employment is 16. In a few cases, a select group of mature 15-year-olds may be considered. All youth staff members are encouraged to attain the rank of Eagle Scout.
Applicants must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America for the entire length of their employment or agree to such before employment is offered.
Employees must consent to a background check as a condition of employment.
Youth Protection Training must be completed as a condition of employment.
All employees must have a current physical exam on file (within 12 months) during employment.
Applicants must certify that they are in sufficient physical condition for the position requested.
The standards of the Scout Oath or Promise and Law must be adhered to during the time of employment.
Salary is based on position responsibility with consideration given to experience.
All applicants must agree to report on time for staff training and participate in all requested staff training.
